Established in 1985, Stuart Maue has the distinction of being recognized by The Wall Street Journal as the oldest legal auditing firm in the United States. Our services initially consisted of legal invoice auditing and litigation consulting, primarily involving the analysis of paper invoices and boxes of receipts. As technology evolved we modernized our process with the development of proprietary software, but at our core we remain a legal audit firm of experienced attorneys and accountants.

Over the years, our strong background in providing savings and analysis to our clients allowed Stuart Maue to add services. In the early 1990's we began to serve as a Fee Examiner in bankruptcy proceedings. A few years later, Stuart Maue launched our prospective cost management services which evolved into the current legal cost management services. Finally, several years ago we expanded our vendor services beyond invoices related to legal matters to include a wide variety of third party service providers.
